I am an author and a translator

This Internet site presents some of my work. At present I am working on a novel (based on a true story), set in Sweden and England during the reign of the first Queen Elizabeth. My more or less weekly blog, At the Quill, keeps interested readers up to date with my progress. My other blogs reflect my life as an expat Englishman in Gothenburg, in Scandinavia and in the world.

As a long-time teacher of English, and of subjects through the medium of English, I have over the years written a great deal of teaching material. Some older examples are (or - at the time of writing - will be) presented on this site from the Teaching and Learning Page. My current efforts are available for teachers in Sweden in the form of the weekly term-time News Quiz from Mera Förlag.
